Chicago Fashion Week 2025, Volunteer

Supported the work of a local and rising female avant-garde luxury designer. The brands prides itself on sustainability and offers information about transparent production practices on their website. It's not only important to support local designers but also female designers who prioritize culture and sustainability into their work. 

My Contributions

  • Assisted with event preparation which included arranging gift bags, seating, and backdrops.

  • Helped dress and undress models.

  • Organized check in with guest and walking them to their seats.

  • Supported clean up of event, garments, shoes and jewelry.​

The stylist symposium

Chicago Fashion Week 2025, Volunteer

​​Through my involvement in the Stylist Symposium, I recognized the power of fashion events in cultivating community connection. The Symposium was created as a space for stylists to come together and share their experiences. Contributing to the execution of this event, I helped create an environment that fosters dialogue, collaboration, creativity, and growth. This experience showed me that fashion isn't only about presentation, but it's about bringing people together, amplifying voices, and building an industry where we support one another. 

My Contributions

  • Prepped for the event by creating a comprehensive sponsorship deck, social media content, and posters.

  • Assisted with event set up by arranging tables and chairs.

  • Decorated the space by placing cards, frames, posters and other design elements.

  • Organized gift bags for attendees.

  • Provided support to guests and speakers throughout the event.

  • Helped with event take down and clean up after the symposium.

Chicago Fashion Week 2025, Backstage Dresser​​

Representation in fashion remains a crucial issue. By supporting the work of Black designers and models, I contributed to amplifying marginalized voices and promoting diversity in an industry that often overlooks people of color. Beyond showcasing talent, this experience allowed me to witness the importance of inclusive representation, cultural celebration, and the opportunity we have to change the fashion landscape into a more socially responsible space. 

My Contributions

  • ​Assisted in dressing models for Kammarra B, The St. Jaymes, Eightwentyeight and Lavish Furs.​​

  • Supported quick outfit changes backstage to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Laced corsets and pinned garments in place to ensure proper fit and presentation.

  • Sourced models for specific looks based on size, fit and designer requirements.

homecoming & fall clothing drive

Glenbrook South High School, Glenview, Illinois Volunteer, 9/25

​Volunteering at Glenbrook South High School allowed me to engage directly with my community by supporting students who could not afford homecoming dresses or accessories. By maintaining a welcoming environment, I helped create an inclusive and empowering space for students. Giving my time and skills to help provide access to memorable experiences highlights the value of community and kindness.

My Contributions

  • Organized racks of dresses by style and size for easy student access

  • Sorted and arranged shoes, jewelry, and bags

  • Assisted students in selecting dresses and accessories

  • Checked out selected items while maintaining a welcoming environment​
